A Little About Keivon
Keivon Akbari is a New York City based actor, singer, musician born and raised in Southern California.Formerly a basketball player, Keivon had to sit out the entire season of his junior year in high school because of a concussion diagnosis. In true Troy Bolton fashion, he was approached to audition for the musical, Les Miserables, to which he was offered the lead role of Jean Valjean. Being his first theatrical experience, he fell in love with acting and the theatre.
After two years of studying the Meisner technique at Saddleback College, Keivon was accepted to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts through the Atlantic Acting School to pursue a BFA in Drama. After completing his studies, Keivon now resides in Brooklyn, New York pursuing his passions.
Keivon is known for roles in Revolutionary (Theater for the New City), Tosca Tehran (Atlantic Theater Company), Bismillah (The Wild Project), Return to Fall (Columbia University), Jason in Medea (Atlantic Acting School), Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (Saddleback College), and Phillip in Mauritius for which he was nominated for the KCACTF Irene Ryan Scholarship in 2017. He is also a classically trained concert pianist and can play four additional instruments. In addition, he is an award winning classical singer who placed 2nd in the NATS-LA SEP Singing Competition in 2015, 2nd in the VO-CAL Singing Competition in 2016, and 1st in the NATS Cal-Western Region Singing Competition in 2016.
